Gather around for our Thursday Night Acoustic Campfire Jam - an open, laid-back evening of live music, storytelling, and community. Bring your instrument or just enjoy the vibe as local musicians trade songs and create a true campfire atmosphere at Sons of Hermann Hall.
SWINGIN' At The Sons!
Every Wednesday night, the historic Sons of Hermann Hall in Dallas comes alive with the sounds of big band, jazz, and classic swing. Swingin’ at the Sons is a weekly swing dance social that brings together dancers of all ages and skill levels for an evening of music, movement, and community.
The night kicks off with doors, bar and the kitchen opening at 7PM. Starting at 8PM, a beginner-friendly lesson so anyone can jump in with confidence, no partner or experience required - followed by hours of social dancing to upbeat DJ sets or live bands. From Lindy Hop and East Coast Swing to Charleston and more, the hardwood dance floor stays hopping all night long.
With its vintage charm, welcoming crowd, and rich history, Swingin’ at the Sons is more than just a dance - it’s a Dallas tradition. Whether you’re there for the music, the moves, or the memories, it’s the perfect midweek escape and a place where strangers become friends one song at a time.
Electric Campfire Jam
Electric Campfire Jam is Sons of Hermann Hall’s laid-back Thursday night open acoustic jam, where musicians of all skill levels come together for a warm, community-driven night of live music, storytelling, and spontaneous collaboration. Bring your guitar, banjo, fiddle, voice - or simply grab a drink and enjoy the vibe as local artists trade songs in an intimate campfire-style setting. It’s casual, welcoming, and all about good music and great company.
Every Thursday the Bar & Kitchen opens at 6:30 PM. Jammin starts at 7:00 PM. All musicians welcome | All ages | Free entry
