Levi Weaver is not a musician anymore. That's not to say he's not a "full-time" musician anymore (though that's also true), it's that for over three years, he didn't touch his guitar at all as he pursued a career change, covering the Texas Rangers baseball team (don't worry, he's been practicing again lately). Before that, however, he was a full-time musician for about nine years, starting with a US tour with Imogen Heap in 2006, and lasting around 800 shows in the U.S., Canada and Europe.

This isn't a comeback. He has made it abundantly clear that he's happy where he is — in press boxes and clubhouses around Major League Baseball — but it has been long enough that the burnout has subsided, allowing the scorched earth to regrow a little, so it doesn't sound like a chore to play a show. So that's what he's going to do: on January 24, 2020 at the Sons of Hermann Hall, Weaver will be playing a one-off show to raise funds for Refugee Services of Texas.

Earlier Event: January 23
