TREMOLOCO

PRESENTED BY THE SONS OF HERMANN HALL

Tremoloco is an eclectic roots band whose music has been described as: Sonoran Gothic Folk, Gulf Coast Roots, Tex-Mexican Americana or simply Cantina Music. Their music reflects who they are and where they are from featuring players from East L.A., Houston and Louisiana.

2019 will see their 5th release.

Blending Mexican folk music with Roots/Country music is no easy task. It certainly helps thuat Tremoloco is well versed in several styles including Folk, Country, Cajun, Zydeco, Blues, Honky Tonk, Tex-Mex, Rancheros, Conjunto Norteño and Cumbias all the while writing and performing original songs in both English and Spanish.

A stellar line up of well known musicians occupy all of the Tremoloco recordings, a who's who of California/Texas roots music including Dave Alvin, Cindy Cashdollar, David Hidalgo, Cougar Estrada (Los Lobos), Red Volkaert, Los Tex Maniacs, Joel Guzman, Rick Shea and many more.....

Mexican groove and swing:

"The Los Angeles/Houston/Louisiana band Tremoloco play a singular blend of Mexican and American roots music, delivering original songs in Spanish and English that draw on a promiscuously diverse array of musical traditions including Nashville twang and Louisiana bayou grooves, New Orleans R&B, Delta blues, rancheros, cumbias and Tex-Mex romps, the band’s recently released fourth album “Deseo” paints a series of vivid, dance-inducing portraits, sometimes humorous, sometimes historical, and always well-crafted. With Tony Zamora as songwriter/singer/multi-instrumentalist Tremoloco features a veteran cast of players with an impressive roster of credits."
